Telogen Effluvium
A temporary, diffuse shedding triggered by physical or emotional stress, illness, childbirth or medication. A large number of follicles enter the resting (telogen) phase at once.
Causes
- ·Major surgery, illness or high fever.
- ·Childbirth or hormonal changes.
- ·Rapid weight loss, severe stress or nutritional deficiency.
Symptoms
- ·Diffuse shedding across the whole scalp.
- ·Noticeable hair in the shower or on the pillow.
- ·Usually resolves within 3–6 months of the trigger.

Hair transplant?
