Norwood Stage 2
Stage 2 shows mild, symmetrical recession at the temples. The hairline moves back slightly and the corners soften. This is often just a "maturing" hairline rather than true balding.
Key facts
- ·Temples recede by roughly 1–2 cm.
- ·No crown thinning.
- ·May stabilise for years without progressing.
Treatment
Not always balding — many men stay at stage 2 for decades. If family history suggests progression, low-dose finasteride or minoxidil can preserve the hairline.
