Norwood Stage 4
Stage 4 combines significant frontal/temporal recession with a bald or rapidly-thinning crown. A band of hair across the top still separates the two areas.
Key facts
- ·Temples recede substantially.
- ·Crown is bald or nearly bald.
- ·A strip of hair still bridges the mid-scalp.
Treatment
A transplant can restore both the hairline and crown in one or two sessions, provided donor supply is adequate. Medication helps preserve remaining native hair.
